The two officials pointed to the need for the continuation of cooperation between Zagreb's manufacturer of power-supply equipment "Koncar" and Turkish railways. Both parties confirmed the need for the establishment of a direct Roll on-Roll off line between Turkish and Croatian ports and a possibility of using the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka for the placement of Turkish goods on European markets. The two ministers discussed the issue of using a bank allowance of Turkey's Exim Bank, worth US$100 million, for certain projects in Croatia, particularly in tourism. Fizulic and Unlu also tackled the need for the signing of a free trade agreement as a condition for the increase of trade exchange between the two countries. The agreement is to be sign in May, immediately before Croatia's joining the World Trade Organisation. Minister Fizulic proposed that ships for Turkish shipowners be built in Croatia shipyards. The Croatian Economy Minister is the first official of the new Croatian Government on an official visit to Turkey. (hina) it mm
