ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) - Some 400 workers of the agricultural and processing plant (PIK) 'Vrbovec' on Friday continued the blockade of roads in the area of Vrbovec, some 30 km north-east of Zagreb, protesting against the failure of
the management to pay their salaries. The blockade started early on Thursday morning and continued throughout the night. The leader of the plant's workers union, Stjepan Lebos, said no agreement has been reached so far with the plant's management.He added the blockade will resume until workers' minimum demands are met - two advance pays and transport costs for January and February. Lebos added last night's talks with Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bozidar Pankretic did not result in any progress toward meeting the workers' demands.(hina) rml
