MOSTAR MOSTAR, March 31 (Hina) - The reconstructed public bath "Gradska Banja" was opened in the southern city of Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina, on Friday. This was the first public bath in the Balkans constructed in 1914 and one of most
prominent institutions built by the then Austro-Hungarian authorities.

Banja" was opened in the southern city of Mostar, Bosnia-
Herzegovina, on Friday.
This was the first public bath in the Balkans constructed in 1914
and one of most prominent institutions built by the then Austro-
Hungarian authorities.#L#
The bath was destroyed during the Croat-Moslem conflict in the last
decade.
Its original form has been rebuilt, and the financial assistance of
two million German marks for this purpose has been given by the
Italian Government.
These multipurpose facilities can now be used for rehabilitation of
disabled war disabled veterans. The public bath offers medical
services as well.
