KORODJ, March 19 (Hina) - Believers of the Christian Reformed Church from the eastern Croatian village Korodj on Sunday attended for the first time since the end of war a service in their reconstructed church. The reconstruction of the church building, which was destroyed in the Serbian aggression, was financed by the Hungarian government with DM700,000. Attending the service was also Judit Szabo of the Hungarian Emigration Ministry. Josip Kell, municipal head of Tordinac municipality, which includes Korodj, said the village had had 748 residents in 1991, 95 percent of whom were Hungarians. More than 80 percent of the pre-war population have returned to their homes so far. Today's service and a celebration at the local community hall are part of events marking the anniversary of the Hungarian revolution of 1848.(hina) rml
