COUNCIL OF EUROPE'S MONITORING IN CROATIA COMES TO END

ZAGREB, March 31 (Hina) - The head of a delegation of the Croatian National Sabor to the parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe, Mirjana Feric-Vac, in Zagreb on Friday expressed hope that the monitoring process of the Council of Europe in Croatia would end sooner, in June this year the earliest. We will do everything that the process of monitoring be closed as soon as possible, Feric-Vac told a press conference before the departure of the Croatian delegation. The regular session of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly is being held in Strasbourg between April 3 and 7. After the session, namely between April 16 and 19, a delegation of the Council of Europe will visit Croatia to make a report on the situation in the country and it would possibly request the end of the monitoring process at a summer session (June). Also discuss at the session will be a report on the election in Croatia, which were "correct", and with which Croatia is satisfied with several minor objections, the head of the Sabor's delegation said.
