ZAGREB, March 6 (Hina) - A Croatian Deputy Foreign Ministry, Vesna Cvjetkovic Kurelec, on Monday told then European Community's monitoring mission's head, Pedro Moitinha de Almeido, that the Croatian Government would continue with its
resolute efforts to bring the country closer to the European Union. According to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry after Kurelec's talks with de Almeido, the EC official said a great positive step was made in the relations between Zagreb and the EU following the recent parliamentary and presidential elections in Croatia. He added that the EU Foreign Affairs Commissioner, Christopher Patten, would soon visit Croatia, contributing to this positive trend.
