Tomcic acquainted the EU troika with parliament's upcoming legislative work, which is aimed at further democratising Croatia and resolving issues concerning the return of displaced persons and refugees to pre-war homes, and national minorities. parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Ivo Sanader.
The European Union (EU) senior delegation includes Portugal's
Foreign Minister Jaime Gama, the EU high representative for foreign
affairs and security issues, Javier Solana, and the French Foreign
Ministry's director for Europe, Hugues Pernet.
Tomcic acquainted the EU troika with parliament's upcoming

Portugal's Minister Gama supported Croatia's democratic
endeavours, pointing out Croatia now had a historical chance to
move from the Balkans' conflict area and achieve political
stability.
Both sides expect Croatia will become an important factor of
stability in Southeast Europe.
