SPLIT WAR HARBOUR 'LORA' SPLIT, March 23 (Hina) - The commander of the United States Navy's Sixth Fleet and NATO's force for Southeast Europe, Admiral Daniel J. Murphy, on Thursday afternoon visited the Lora war harbour in the
southern Croatian port of Split. Admiral Murphy arrived in Split this morning aboard the "La Salle" command ship for a visit to last several days. During talks with Croatian navy commander Admiral Vid Stipetic, Murphy said the visit symbolised the fast coming closer of the U.S. and Croatia, as it was the first visit part of the Sixth Fleet and its commander were making to Croatia. Stipetic informed his quest about the creation of the Croatian navy and its participation in last decade's Homeland War, and plans for the future.
