ZAGREB ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - European Union's high envoy for foreign and security policy Javier Solana on Tuesday arrived in Zagreb at the head of the EU Troika, and met Prime Minister Ivica Racan. Solana, accompanied by
Portuguese Foreign Minister Jaime Gama and the general director of the French Foreign Ministry's department for Europe, Hugues Pernet, will this afternoon also meet Croatian President Stipe Mesic and Parliament Speaker Zlatko Tomcic. It is expected that the EU Troika will during their one-day stay in Zagreb reiterate EU's positive reactions to the recent change of authority in Croatia and urge the new authorities to fulfil the conditions necessary for Croatia's drawing closer to Euro-Atlantic associations.
