ZAGREB, March 24 (Hina) - The Croatian National Parliament House of Representatives on Friday adopted amendments to the Law on Income Tax and to the Law on the Financing of Units of Local Government and Self-Government which were
entered into urgent procedure. The Income Tax Law now increases the untaxable part of incomes from 1,000 to 1,250 kuna, Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac said. The second law will financially strengthen units of local government and self-government and through decentralisation their autonomy of decision-making will increase. The amendments thus increase the income tax part for municipalities and towns from 25 to 32 per cent, and counties from five to eight per cent, Crkvenac said. All party benches supported the two draft amendments.(hina) lml jn
