ZAGREB, March 22 (Hina) - Croatia's De-Mining Centre and a Canadian firm signed an agreement on presenting the centre with a probe for detection of mines in shallow waters. The deal on cooperation for the clearance of mines from
shallow waters was signed on Wednesday in Zagreb by the head of the Croatian De-Mining Centre, Damir Gorseta, and an official of the Canadian firm "Guigne", Jacques Yves Guigne. Croatians can use the probe free of charge and de-mining centres will test this device during the usage and give assessment about its quality. Gorseta said the instrument will help clear mines from the swampy areas in Kopacki Rit, an eastern Croatian nature park. The Canadian company developed the device in cooperation with a French firm "Thompson-Marconi", well known for its work for world famous manufactures of high technology equipment.(hina) jn ms
