ZAGREB, March 16 (Hina) - During the past five years, only via the Justice Ministry, Croatia paid about US$9 million to two law firms for which David Rivkin was working and it still owes about US$760,000, Croatian Justice Minister
Stjepan Ivanisevic said in Zagreb on Thursday. "During the past five years via the Justice Ministry, Croatia paid over US$9 million to law firms for which Rivkin was working, and it still owes about US$760,000", Ivanisevic told a press conference which was also attended by the United States attorney. We have no knowledge of the rest of the remuneration, the Minister added. Ivanisevic said that, as of now, the engagement of Rivkin's firm in the case is in status quo, until the new Croatian Government forms a strategy on relations towards the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). The Minister said that the document should be drafted in two weeks.(hina) it
