CRO BUSINESSMEN PLAN TO INVEST IN BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA

SARAJEVO, March 15 (Hina) - In the next six months, the "Agrokor" concern plans to invest close to DM80 million in Bosnia- Herzegovina. This would enable the creation of 800 to 1,000 new jobs, "Agrokor" executive director for foreign markets Stjepan Ledic said in Sarajevo on Wednesday. Members of the "Agrokor" management in Sarajevo presented the results of their business transaction and plans for their performance on Bosnia-Herzegovina market in upcoming years. The presentation was organised in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce branch office in Sarajevo. By the take-over of a factory in southern Bosnia-Herzegovina, "Agrokor"'s plant for the production of "Ledo" ice cream created conditions for the take-over of almost 65 percent of the ice cream market in Bosnia-Herzegovina. After the purchase of a package of 41 percent of the shares of "Sarajevski Kiseljak", the plant for the production of the "Jamnica" mineral water will be included in another investment programme worth DM19 million. It would gain 75 percent of the mineral water market in Bosnia-Herzegovina. By the year 2004, "Agrokor" plans to build a great distribution centre in Sarajevo, and there are serious plans of cooperation with "Bimal" from the Bosnia-Herzegovina north-eastern town of Brcko.
