ZAGREB, Mar 13 (Hina) - Croatia's Supreme Court on Monday turned down Miroslav Kutle's appeal to a Zagreb County Court decision on the prolongation of his imprisonment. Kutle, a Croatian tycoon under investigation for economic crimes,
will stay in detention which the Zagreb County Court prolonged on March 2 on grounds of founded suspicion that Kutle could influence evidence and witnesses, and due to the particularly serious circumstances and manner in which he carried out the crime he is charged with. Kutle is suspected of damaging Croatia's largest press distributor "Tisak" for some 48 million kuna (US$6 million), by abusing powers in business, in cooperation with his business partners and the directors of his companies.(hina) ha jn
