ZAGREB/SPLIT, Mar 11 (Hina) - The Government and the union of journalists at 'Slobodna Dalmacija' daily on Saturday agreed that it was necessary to preserve the daily and reorganise it in line with a decision on the annulment of its
transformation, union commissioner Davorka Blazevic said following a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Slavko Linic in Zagreb today. The Government and the Union agree that 'Slobodna Dalmacija' must continue existing because it has its market, it has a future and tradition, Blazevic told Hina, adding a union delegation discussed with Linic ways to solve the deep financial and ownership crisis in 'Slobodna Dalmacija'. We expect a concrete solution in the next 30 days, after consultations take place at the daily and an agreement is reached with the Government, she added.(hina) rml
