ZAGREB, March 2 (Hina) - A union delegation of Vukovar's agriculture and food company "Vupik" on Thursday held a protest rally in Zagreb, handing out flyers with their requests to ministers who were arriving for a Government session.
The three-member union delegation was received by Deputy Premier Goran Granic. Following the meeting chairman of the Union of employees in the agriculture and food industry, Josip Pavic, told reporters Granic had informed him that the Government's narrow cabinet would discuss the issue of Vupik at Thursday's session. Vupik employees have been on strike since February 15, requesting the payment of seven months' unpaid salaries and the establishment of a regular payment of salaries. They are also requesting a group of experts from the Government and the Croatian Privatisation Fund, which own Vupik, to visit Vukovar and review the situation, and to be told by relevant ministries openly
