CROATIA AND SLOVENIA COULD SOON SIGN AGREEMENT ON KRSKO

ZAGREB, March 3 (Hina) - Croatian and Slovene economy ministers Goranko Fizulic and Tea Petrin on Friday agreed the two countries' working group should hold a meeting next week, with the aim of solving most of the Krsko nuclear power plant. The two countries are expected to sign an agreement on the Krsko nuclear power plant in the next month, and it was agreed that the plant be established as a limited liability company, and co-ownership be determined in the 50:50 ratio, the Croatian Economy Ministry said in a statement. The plant was constructed by Croatia and Slovenia some twenty years ago in Slovenia through equal investment, but after the two states proclaimed independence from the former Yugoslavia, disagreement surfaced regarding the ownership and management of the plant.
