ZAGREB, Feb 26 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic has agreed to be the patron of the first convention of ill Croatian veterans, which is to take place in "Mimara" museum in Zagreb on March 2. According to Saturday's statement by
the Association of Croatian Veterans Treated for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, the organiser of the convention, President Mesic's patronage of the convention confirms his genuine understanding for the need to eliminate the long-standing injustices which have been distressing ill veterans. The Association hopes the convention will mark a turnabout in policy towards veterans treated for the disorder, which is contrary to Croatian Constitution regulations on the equality of all citizens, the statement said.
