MINISTERS CACIC AND PANCIC VISIT VUKOVAR

VUKOVAR, Feb 4 (Hina) - Croatian Immigration, Reconstruction and Development Minister Radimir Cacic held talks with heads of the Association of Croatia's Returnees on most important issues of the return and reconstruction in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar Friday. State obligations towards returnees and the reconstruction, particularly the reconstruction of Vukovar, cannot diminish any justification that Croatia's economy is facing serious difficulties. He added he was pleased with the crew in the Ministry and there was no need for a replacement. President of the Croatian Association of Returnees Mato Simic said that the association wanted to be an associate and not an opponent to the new Minister. Vukovar prefect Rudolf Koening said that of 30,000 houses damaged in the Homeland War, over 17,000 have been reconstructed. Another 7,500 houses in the Croatian Danube River region are still to be reconstructed.
