ZAGREB, Feb 10 (Hina) - The United States Ambassador to Croatia, William Montgomery, on Thursday visited the Association of Croatian Homeland War Veterans (UHVDR), and expressed interest in the work of the Association, particularly in
its international activities. The UHVDR leadership invited Montgomery, a veteran of the Vietnam War, to attend the upcoming session of the World Veterans' Federation's Veterans' Council for Europe, to be held in the northern Adriatic town of Pula next month. The session will be attended by representatives of veterans' organisations from about 70 countries. The UHVDR leadership invited Montgomery, a veteran of the Vietnam

UHVDR president Djuro Decak said that the UHVDR was the only
association of Croatian Homeland War veterans which was admitted to
the World Veterans' Federation as a full member.
According to UHVDR officials, the 17the session of the Veterans'
Council for Europe will be held between march 13 and 19 in Pula.
Apart from veterans' issues, also discussed will be the role of
veterans' organisations in the implementation of the Stability
Pact.
