ZAGREB, Feb 6 (Hina) - One of the most read contemporary writers, Brazil's Paulo Coelho, arrived in Zagreb on Sunday. Over the next two days he will meet Croatian readers, Culture Minister Antun Vujic, and Premier Ivica Racan, he
announced. Coelho has written seven best-selling books which have been translated into 42 languages in 100 countries and sold 25 million copies to date. Four of them, "The Alchemist", "By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept", "The Fifth Mountain", and "Veronica Decides to Die", have been translated into Croatian. They were published by Zagreb-based "V.B.Z.", the organiser of Coelho's visit. Coelho is to meet Culture Minister Vujcic on Monday, and with fans and readers, which he has pointed out is a particularly important reason for his visit, on Tuesday.
