ZAGREB ARCHBISHOP CONGRATULATES NEWLY-APPOINTED PREMIER

ZAGREB, Jan 29 (Hina) - Zagreb Archbishop and president of the Croatian Bishops' Conference, Msgr. Josip Bozanic, on Saturday forwarded a message to Croatia's newly-appointed Premier Ivica Racan, congratulating him on his appointment. Bozanic wished Racan and the new Government success in performing their duties to the benefit of the Croat people and all Croatian citizens. #L# "I offer my congratulations in the spirit and light of the task of the Catholic Church, which Pope John Paul II described in Split in the following way: 'The Church will, by supporting the efforts of social categories and political forces, give its significant contribution, especially by presenting its social doctrine and putting its institutions at disposal for the education of new generations.
