ROME, Jan 16 (Hina) - An exhibition called "Croats - Culture, Art, Christianity", which late Croatian President Franjo Tudjman opened in the Vatican Museum on October 28, was closed on Saturday. Visitors to the Sistine Chapel in the
Vatican Museum could view original exhibits from Croatia which testify to Croatia's ties with the Holy See, and Croatian culture and art from the eighth century to the present. It is estimated the exhibition was viewed by some 150,000. According to Jorge Maria Mejia, secretary at the Holy Roman Church Archives and library, the exhibition pointed to Croatia's deep and long-standing connection with the Holy See, which he said began not only when Pope John the Eighth recognised Prince Branimir and his country, but even earlier. The Holy See believes that was the first time Croatia was recognised, and that the Holy See's recognition of Croatia on 13 January 1992 was only a
