The duty of the independent commission will be to establish real operational and staff possibilities of Croatia's system of flight control, read a statement issued by the administration of flight control and the relevant department of the Transport Ministry. Results of the arbitration will be made public. According to the statement, the system of flight control in Croatia has been better equipped compared to the situation before the Homeland War when the air traffic used to include 1,500 planes daily. In addition, about 150 Croatian air traffic controller were educated or further professionally trained at academies in Britain and Germany thanks to a loan of the European Bank for the Reconstruction and Development. The administration of the flight control system held that by launching such untrue claims the trade union disturbed the international and Croatian public when finally air traffic in the region should come to normal after almost nine years.
