ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - A strong wind and snow on Sunday morning impeded traffic in central Croatian areas of Lika and Gorski Kotar. State roads "Gracac-Obrovac" and "Gracac-Knin" and a few local roads in that area were closed due to
a high cover of snow, Croatia's Auto Club reported on Sunday. Vehicles had to use winter equipment to pass through Gorski Kotar. Roads in Dalmatia are wet, whereas roads on the biggest peninsula of Istria are generally dry. The same source reported a light snowfall in Slavonia where there is melting snow on the surface of roads. Drivers are advised do use winter equipment for driving in east Croatia as well. Snow has been cleaned from main roads in northern Croatia but they are now wet. It is necessary for drivers to use winter equipment along local roads.
