BUDISA HOLDS ELECTORAL RALLY IN GOSPIC

GOSPIC, Jan 21 (Hina) - Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) coalition, Drazen Budisa, held an electoral rally in Gospic Friday, thanking the gathered for their support at the 101st rally he had held as a presidential candidate. "I believe I will receive your confidence and that you will confirm your votes you gave at parliamentary elections to changes in our country and thus chose a Croatia turned towards Europe and the future," Budisa said. As presidential candidate Budisa committed himself to respect the independence of the Croatian state, fight for its stability and care for the unity of the Croatian people. "Together with the Croatian National Parliament and Government I will do everything for Croatia to exit the difficult economic situation and remove numerous social difficulties," he added. Budisa said he would "perform the responsible duty of president without luxury, humbly in line with the difficult economic circumstances. He thanked Pat Cox, president of the liberal course club at the European parliament who, Budisa said, "came to Gospic to bare witness to the new attitude of the world towards the democratic Croatia".
