MOSTAR, Jan 19 (Hina) - Thursday, January 20 is the deadline when 22 Bosnian officials recalled by the international community's high representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina in March must stop performing former tasks, a high
representative's spokeswoman said on Wednesday. Speaking to reporters in the southern Bosnian town of Mostar, spokeswoman Avis Benes said she believed the recalled officials would respect the deadline. Benes reminded that political parties whose officials failed to comply with the deadline would be banned from running in municipal elections in April in those municipalities from which the recalled officials come from. Benes expressed hoped 22 new Bosnian officials would be appointed by the end of the month, with consent from the office of the high representative and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe Mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina.(hina) ha
