PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ANTE LEDIC HOLDS ELECTORAL RALLY IN RIJEKA

RIJEKA, Jan 17 (Hina) - Independent presidential candidate Ante Ledic on Monday held an electoral rally in Rijeka. He stressed his programme offered solutions for all difficulties in Croatia, especially those relating to the economy. He said he had good results in the business he performed to date. Ledic is the director of the "Zrinjevac" utility company. My principle is to do good onto others, to aspire to a general, not personal prosperity, as some people do, he said. Speaking about Croatian economy, Ledic said the main difficulties arose due to illiquidity and high rate of unemployment- A free and independent state is a supreme achievement which must not be undervalued, but this is insufficient, as a good and prosperous life standard must be achieved. It should have never been allowed for a small group of people to reign over economic goods and then destroy them, leaving thousands of people without jobs, while most of Croatian citizens defended the country, Ledic said. He advocated the redefinition of relations between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, respecting the signed agreements and the fact that we are a part of the same geographic region, and orientated towards each other, Ledic said. In relations with the international community we must consistently follow everything we have signed, and if we wish to enter the European Union and other European associations, we must be well prepared, he stressed.
