ZAGREB, Jan 17 (Hina) - Presidents of six parliamentary parties
(previously known as "Opposition Six") on Monday completely
harmonised a text of their coalition contract, said the "Six" co-
ordinator, Ivica Racan.
Racan, President of the SDP (Social Democratic Party), announced
that on Thursday leaders of those parties would sign a document on
the functioning of the new Government and a parliamentary majority
as well as on criteria for the distribution of ministerial and
parliamentary offices.
He said party bodies should confirm this agreement in the coming two
days.
"We specified modalities for the decision-making in line with the
electoral results," Racan told reporters, reiterating that they
would continue talks on the allocation of authorities.
However, he could not guarantee that the Government would be formed
by January 22 when Vlatko Pavletic, Croatia's acting President, can
appoint the SDP President as new Prime Minister.
Racan told reporters that he would most probably designate members
of the government as soon as he was appointed as the Premier.
