diplomats.
This was an occasion for the meeting of Croatia's friends and
supporters including Leon Fuerth, an advisor on national security
to the U.S. Vice President Al Gore, Ambassador Thomas Patric
Melady, the chairman of the American-Croatian society, a former
U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith and others.
Ambassador Zuzul had an opportunity to represent his young country

In Washington on Sunday, the Martin Luther King Foundation award
was conferred on several people including General Colin Powel, a
former commander of the joint headquarters of the U.S. Army, and
German Ambassador to the United States Juergen Chroborg, besides
Croatian diplomat Zuzul.
At their own wish in order to express gratitude for long and
successful cooperation, the string quartet of the Chicago Symphony
Orchestra performed a concert during the party in the Croatian
Embassy. They played works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Claude
Debussy, Antonin Dvorak, Scott Joplin as well as of a Croatian
author, Luka Sorkocevic.
