ORASJE, Jan 12 (Hina) - About 2,500 pieces of various weapons were destroyed at a barracks of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) fourth guard motorised brigade in Orasje, northern Bosnia-Herzegovina, on Wednesday. The weaponry
belonged to disbanded local units of the HVO, the Croat component of the Army of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim Federation. Today's destruction of HVO weaponry marks the end of the demilitarisation of the Brcko area, said Matt Matteson, a local official of NATO's Stabilisation Force, adding the Federation Army had done its job very well. Weaponry-destruction will be concluded on January 17, at a Bosnian Serb army barracks in Bijeljina. Serb units which remained in Brcko Municipality have to move by the end of March.(hina) ha mm
