SPLIT, Jan 7 (Hina) - According to a ruling of the Croatian Administrative Court dated 8 July 1999, the Court annulled the privatisation of Split-based daily paper "Slobodna Dalmacija". The ruling refers to a lawsuit filed by the
Split branch of the Trade Union of Printing and Publishing Workers and 72 "Slobodna Dalmacija" employees, later registered as the Association of Claimants to the Rights of "Slobodna Dalmacija" Shares. The lawsuit was filed on 20 January 1993 against a decision on the daily's privatisation. Ilija Marsic, the president of the association, told Hina on Friday the privatisation had led to a drastic fall in the paper's circulation and stinted the daily's employees. He said he did not know why the ruling was submitted to him only today, about six months after it was reached.(hina) ha mm
