Zagreb.

the Croatian Sabor House of Representatives, fearing that his

In any case I believe that a turnout of voters will be large, as such
atmosphere has been created that reflects that the poll is very
important, but in this moment, after the death of our President
Franjo Tudjman, the election has assumed particular importance,
Pavletic said.
Speaking with a crew of a foreign television station, Pavletic said
he was expecting that Croatia would enter the anteroom of European
integration and the European Union speedier than it is now
supposed.
He held a brief conversation with the head of monitoring missions
for the Croatian parliamentary election, Danish Helle Degn, who
happened to be at the polling station where the Croatian acting
President voted.
Pavletic voiced hope that Degn would get good impressions and see
that the voting proceeded regularly.
