PODGORICA, Dec 30 (Hina) - Montenegrin Premier Filip Vujanovic told the Podgorica daily "Pobjeda" the Czechoslovakian model should be applied in settling relations between Montenegro and Serbia, and in case this cannot be
accomplished, Montenegrin citizens will decide on their country's fate on a referendum. "Ten years of our federation's existence proved that it as such cannot function. In Montenegro, a joint state will always be seen as hegemony of the bigger, and in Serbia as blackmail by the smaller," Vujanovic said. Vujanovic estimated negotiations of expert groups on the future relations between Serbia and Montenegro would continue until the end of February 2002 at the latest. If an agreement on the federation of independent states is not reached, the referendum on the Montenegrin independence will be held in April, or the end of May 2002 at the latest.(hina) np sb
