SISAK SISAK, Dec 21 (Hina) - The humanitarian mine-clearing plan for 2002 is very realistic - 881 million kuna will be allotted for demining, of which 137 million will be secured in the state budget, 100 million by state-owned public
companies, while 644 million will be obtained through donations by non-governmental organisations and the international community, the president of the Croatian Mine Action Centre (HCR) Council, Davorko Vidovic, said Friday. Addressing a ceremony marking the HCR's moving into a new building in Sisak, Vidovic announced 69.2 square kilometres would be cleared of mines in 2002, while 230 square kilometres would be marked as danger areas. "The HCR has also assumed the obligation to demine a section of the future Zagreb-Split motorway", Vidovic said. HCR head Damir Gorseta said the new premises, donated by the oil company INA, would ensure better working conditions and a better performance.
