ZAGREB, Dec 21 (Hina) - The top priorities of the Ministry of Health for 2002 are the stabilisation of the Croatian health system and the restoration of citizens' confidence in it, the advancement and promotion of health, and the
settlement of hospitals' debts, Minister Andro Vlahusic said Friday. A total of 900 million kuna will be allotted in 2002 for investments in the health sector. This is the highest amount allocated for this sector since Croatia gained independence ten years ago, Vlahusic said. He added the health sector could also count on part of the budgetary funds earmarked for reforms, so that within a year, the health system would be better equipped technologically, with 100 million kuna to be invested in computerisation.
