BELGRADE, Dec 7 (Hina) - The World Bank approved a US$70 million grant for Yugoslavia on Friday intended to support the structural adjustment of public finances, the power supply system, the labour market, and the pension and health
sectors in Serbia. For next year the World Bank has allocated US$200 million to support structural changes in Yugoslavia, Bank representative Rory O'Sullivan and Yugoslav Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus said after signing a contract on the grant, okayed at very favourable conditions. Labus added the loan had bee granted for a period of 20 years, a ten-year grace period and 0.75 percent interest. A similar contract will be signed for Montenegro as well, he announced The World Bank's long-term goal is supporting the Yugoslav reforms by raising the loan to US$215 million.(hina) ha sb
