PRISTINA, Dec 19 (Hina) - As of January 1 Kosovo will be the first region outside the euro-zone to have the euro as the official currency, the European Union Ambassador in Pristina, Andy Bearpark, said on Wednesday. Banks in the
southern Yugoslav province estimate EUR500-800 million will be required for Kosovo. Five-hundred million has already arrived from Germany, said Bearpark. The campaign for the exchange of German marks into the new currency has increase the local bank's turnover six times. About DM500 million are deposited in Kosovo banks.(hina) ha
