Revitalising transit along the 10th pan-European corridor is
important for all railway management boards from former
Yugoslavia, Croatian Railways director Marijan Drempetic told a
press conference. Before the war, Croatian Railways (HZ)
transported around 14 million tonnes of cargo and five to seven
million passengers, while in the first six months of this year, HZ
transported only one million tonnes of cargo, Drempetic said.
The meeting also aims at establishing a uniform commercial policy,
uniform prices, and service marketing.
Representatives of all railways said their transport services
along the 10th corridor had significantly decreased in relation to
pre-war years.
They announced investments in the 10th pan-European corridor, in
line with pan-European standards and agreed that investments
should be harmonised.
