MOSTAR, Dec 7 (Hina) - Two Croats from Stolac in southern Bosnia-Herzegovina, for whose arrest a warrant had been issued, surrendered on Friday at the Stolac Municipal Court, from where they were taken to a prison in Mostar, the
interior ministry of the southern Herzegovina-Neretva Canton said. The Croats, Nikica Boskovic and Andjelko Raguz, were arrested after recent incidents in Stolac, when a group of local Croats destroyed and set fire to a fence in front of the site where the central town mosque, destroyed during the war, should be rebuilt. Their arrest caused a protest of some 200 local Croats, who gathered in front of the police building on December 4 demanding their release. During the protest, Boskovic and Raguz escaped from the building, after which a warrant for their arrest was issued.(hina) rml
