ZAGREB, Nov 23 (Hina) - Croatia participated for the first time in the work of a parliamentary forum on joining the European Union, which was held in Bonn, Germany on Nov. 22-23. In attendance were representatives of the European
Commission, the European Parliament, and the chairmen of parliamentary committees on European integration of countries candidates for joining the Union, the Croatian Embassy in Germany said on Friday. Croatia participated in the Third forum as the only country participating in the Stabilisation and Association Process. It was represented by the chairman of parliament's European Integration committee, Mate Granic, and the ambassador to Germany, Milan Ramljak. Croatia is expected to step up meeting commitments from the Stabilisation and Association Agreement in order to be able to join the countries enjoying candidate status for access to the EU, it was said the forum. The invitation to attend is the resumption of successful and
fruitful cooperation Croatia has with the Bonn-based Centre for
