OPATIJA-Politika 41ST ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF CROATIAN JOURNALISTS' SOCIETY TAKES PLACE OPATIJA, Nov 23 (Hina) - The Croatian Journalists' Society (HND) held its 41st annual assembly in Opatija on Friday, at which participants elected six
new members of the executive committee and four members of the council of Honour. The HND deputy president and member of the Executive Committee, handed in his resignation which was noted. The new Executive Committee members are: Milka Ganza (retired reporter, Luka Brailo (Vecernji list correspondent in Dubrovnik), Mirjana Rakic (HTV), Danko Plevnik (Slobodna Dalmacija), Oliver Drazic (HTV) and Denis Romac (Novi list). The new members of the Council of Honour are Jelena Lovric (Novi list), Ernest Fiser (Varazdinske vijesti), Drazen Klaric (CCN) and Vlasta Bartolec (HTV). held its 41st annual assembly in Opatija on Friday, at which
participants elected six new members of the executive committee and
four members of the council of Honour. The HND deputy president and
member of the Executive Committee, handed in his resignation which
was noted.
The new Executive Committee members are: Milka Ganza (retired
reporter, Luka Brailo (Vecernji list correspondent in Dubrovnik),
Mirjana Rakic (HTV), Danko Plevnik (Slobodna Dalmacija), Oliver
Drazic (HTV) and Denis Romac (Novi list).
The new members of the Council of Honour are Jelena Lovric (Novi

In his report on the work of the Society since last year's assembly,
HND president Dragutin Lucic underlined the work on regulations
regarding the profession (The Law on the Croatian Radio and
Television and the Law on Hina).
The report of the Council of Honour mentioned bias in the informing
and reporting of certain media, the unacceptable attitude towards
vulnerable and minority groups such as children, the disabled, the
sick and members of national minorities, as well as, the report
says, the still present inflammatory speeches.
