Now that it has successfully completed talks, Croatia must achieve
the set objectives and confirm its pro-European orientation within
the set deadlines, as well as its firm commitment to participate in
the fight against global terrorism, Mesic said in his speech,
entitled "Croatia's Position in International Relations and the
Croatian State Policy."
In this new international context, with admission to the EU and NATO
remaining its priorities, Croatia has the opportunity to conduct a
global foreign policy, meaning that it must find a common language
with all with whom cooperation is possible to the mutual benefit,
regardless of which part of the world those potential partners come
from, Mesic said.
