PODGORICA, Nov 9 (Hina) - The president of Montenegro and the head of the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Milo Djukanovic, said Friday he believed a referendum on Montenegro's constitutional status will be held in April
2002. He stressed there was no reason for its delay. Djukanovic called on "all Montenegrin forces gathered around the same project" to start with the referendum campaign. "We are determined and sincerely believe that at the end of April 2002 we will be celebrating Montenegro's renewed statehood", Djukanovoc said. He added his party was ready to talk to everyone in Montenegro as well as in Serbia about the conditions under which the referendum will be prepared. (hina) np
