CROATIAN DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER MEETS CHILEAN OFFICIALS

ZAGREB, Oct 28 (Hina) - At the end of his visit to Argentina and Chile, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic held separate meetings in Santiago with Chilean Deputy Economy Minister and president of the National Committee for Power Industry, Viviana Blanlot, Deputy Interior Minister Francisco Vidal, Government Secretary-General Claudio Huepe, and Deputy Foreign Minister Heraldo Munoz Valenzuela. The Croatian government's public relations office said in a statement on Sunday Granic and Blanlot discussed the economic situation and investment possibilities in Croatia. The two officials agreed there was a lot of room for improving the two countries' economic relations. Deputy Interior Minister Vidal, who chairs a national reconciliation commission, informed Granic about the challenges of national reconciliation in Chile. Government Secretary-General Huepe and Deputy Foreign Minister Valenzuela said Granic's visit contributed to strengthening cooperation between the two countries and expressed hope Croatia and Chile would establish closer ties.
