has been the charge d'affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, as Washington did not appoint its ambassador to Belgrade after the restoration of diplomatic relations with the FRY. Congress to confirm a proposal that William Montgomery be the
United States' Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
(FRY).
Since 17 November 2000, Montgomery has been the charge d'affaires
of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, as Washington did not appoint its
ambassador to Belgrade after the restoration of diplomatic
relations with the FRY.
Montgomery, a career diplomat since 1974, was the American
