MOSTAR, Oct 10 (Hina) - The NATO-led international peacekeepers are put on the heightened alert throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina, in compliance with NATO's order issued after the start of U.S. and British air strikes on Afghanistan, SFOR
(Stabilisation Force) reported on Wednesday. After the air strikes, SFOR received the command to heighten its alert. The level of the alert is not definite, a spokesman for SFOR multinational division in Mostar said. Spokesman Harve Petetin denied reports that there were direct threats to SFOR in Bosnia. Since the September 11 devastating terrorist attacks in the United States, SFOR special units, together with (Croat-Muslim) Bosnian federal police, have arrested several persons in the country, on suspicion that they are linked with Islamic terrorist organisations.
