ZENICA POLICE ARREST ARAB CONNECTED TO BIN LADEN'S ORGANISATION

SARAJEVO, Oct 8 (Hina) - The police forces of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina in the central town of Zenica on Monday arrested an Arab suspected of being connected with the Al-Quaida terrorist organisation, Federation Interior Minister Muhamed Besic said in Sarajevo. According to the Interior Minister, Bensayah Belkacem was interrogated on suspicion of having illegally obtained Bosnian passports, but during the questioning the police found a telephone number of a close associate of Osama bin Laden on him. Bensayah Belkacen has both Yemen and Bosnian citizenship but the police are still checking his identity. A special commission is checking all persons granted Bosnian citizenship between 1992 and today. Particularly thorough check-ups are applied to persons from Arabic countries.
