Nations. In these issues, Croatia supports the efforts of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, the Croatian Ambassador to the UN, Ivan Simonovic, said at a UN General Assembly session in New York Monday. Simonovic was among the first participants of a discussion on Annan's annual report on the work of the UN. He advocated that the UN participate as much as possible in preventing conflicts and disputes, and not just to react when they escalate.
