BJELOVAR, Sept 12 (Hina) - The investigation into four former policemen from Bjelovar, accused of war crimes against prisoners of war and civilians, has so far consisted of six hearings at which 18 witnesses were questioned. The
investigative procedure should end by Friday, president of the Bjelovar County Court, Vladimir Gredelj, said Wednesday. The four, former deputy commissioner Luka Markesic and special police unit members Zdenko Radic, Zoran Maras and Ivan Orlovic are accused of killing six members of the former Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) reserve forces during the war in Croatia. The only person who survived is Savo Kovac. Kovac should arrive at the hearing tomorrow, accompanied by his physician, Gredelj said.
